K.J.H.S. Cavaliers - Daily Announcements
Good morning Cavaliers - today is Thursday, January 10th, and these are your daily announcements.
The 7th Grade Girls’ Volleyball Team had a great start to the 2019 season! The girls defeated Mahomet 25 to 8 and 25 to 8. Bayli Ferris had 11 service points, Addie Snoyink added 10 service points. Great job girls! Please dismiss the Girls’ Volleyball Teams at 3:00 today. Thank you and good luck against Morton!
Come out and cheer on your Boys’ Basketball Teams tonight when they play Olympia starting at 4:30 here at Kingsley. Good luck gentlemen!
Cavaliers - we are starting Sewing Club next week! If you know how to sew or are serious about learning to sew, attend our first meeting next Tuesday, January 15th, in the FACS sewing lab from 3:35 - 4:45. Look for more information on the What's Kickin' boards!
The Kingsley Bible Club (KBC) is meeting today after school until 4:30 in Room 406. We hope to see you there to play fun games, enjoy some fellowship and food, and also learn about the Bible!
Attention 8th graders - today's lunch discussion of The Hate U Give in the IMC will be rescheduled for a later date due to the upcoming DVD release on January 22nd. If you haven't read it or seen the movie, and want to come to Mrs. Leverton and my lunch club, make sure to fit it in ASAP! We'll meet sometime in February.
A friendly reminder from Mrs. Knowles - all library books that were checked out before break are due back by tomorrow! Either return them or get them renewed. Thank you!
Remember Cavs - be engaged. Be responsible. Be respectful. Keep it classy Kingsley!
*Parents Only - Please remember that students need to be vomit/fever free for 24 hours (without the help of medicine) before you send them back to school. Thank you!
*Parents Only - Kingsley Junior High School is now on Twitter. Please follow us: @kingsleyjhs.
*Parents Only - If you are reporting an absence, late arrive or early dismissal, please call the attendance hotline at 557-4456. This number is open 24 hours a day! By doing so, your student will be ready and waiting for you to be picked up in the Main Office. Failure to do this results in a delay for the parent! Parents must come into the office to sign their student in or out of the building. We do not accept handwritten notes from home for any type of absence at the junior high level. Thank you for your support.
