Good morning Cavaliers - today is Wednesday, November 7th, and these are your daily announcements.

Congratulations to the 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball Team for bouncing back after a loss, to win last night against Champaign Jefferson!  Come out and support the 7th and 8th Grade Teams tomorrow when they take on Bloomington starting 4:30 here at KJ.  Great job gentlemen!

The 7th Grade Girls’ Basketball Team defeated Parkside last night 29-24, and are now 15-4 with 2 regular season games left.  Way to go Lady Cavs!

The 7th Grade Newspaper Meeting originally scheduled for today has been cancelled!

Wrestling Open Mats will be today from 4:00 - 5:00 in Neuman Gym!

GSA will meet this Friday from 4:00 - 4:30 in Mrs. Ritchason’s Room (309).  All are welcome to attend!

The winners of the KJHS Mid-Term Elections are:  U.S. Congress - Rodney Davis; Senate District 53 - Jason Barickman; Representative District 105 - Dan Brady; Governor - JB Pritzker; Lieutenant Governor - Evelyn Sanguinetti; Secretary of State - Jesse White; Attorney General - Ericka Harold; Treasurer - Michael Frerichs

Comptroller - Susana Mendoza; and 62% said no to a property tax hike to pay pension obligation; and 70% said yes to term limits.  Thank you to all who voted!

*Parents Only - If you are reporting an absence, late arrive or early dismissal, please call the attendance hotline at 557-4456.  This number is open 24 hours a day!  By doing so, your student will be ready and waiting for you to be picked up in the Main Office.  Failure to do this results in a delay for the parent!  Parents must come into the office to sign their student in or out of the building.  We do not accept handwritten notes from home for any type of absence at the junior high level.  Thank you for your support.
