Mrs. Glatt and Ms. Bettis are proud to announce a brand new club for book-loving Chargers! The Caudills & More Book Club will have its first-ever meeting TODAY from 3:45 to 4:45 in the IMC. This time, we will talk Caudill award nominees, eat cookies, and plan how YOU want this new club to work. We’ll meet every other Thursday, starting on the 26th. Hope to see you there!
For all Chargers interested in wrestling this year; starting Sept 17th the wrestling mats will be available (open mats) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. You will have an opportunity to work out and try your hand at the great sport of wrestling.
Attention all boys interested in basketball: The first 6th grade open gym will be on Monday, Sep 30th, from 6:45 - 8:00 am and 7th grade open gym will be on Tuesday, Oct 1st, from 6:45 - 8:00 am. For future open gyms, stop by the office and pick up a flyer that lists all open gym dates and times for all grade levels. Also remember, you can attend open gyms for your grade level only.
Chess club meets every Wednesday after school until 5:00 PM. “CHECK” it out!
Have you ever been bullied or seen someone else get bullied? Did you want to help? If so, come to Not in Our School (otherwise known as NIOS) where we talk about ways to keep Chiddix safe and learn to be upstanders. Our next meeting is Thursday, October 3 in the IMC. Student Council Applications for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are available in the main office. Please pick one up today. Completed applications are due by the end of the school day on Monday, September30, 2019. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Peoples.
Student Council wants to remind you that it is not too late to bring in old shirts. There is a labeled bin in the front lobby for you to throw your shirt in. Your student Council will be using the old shirts to make dog toys that will be given to animal shelters in McLean County.
There is a Team Quest club meeting after school on Monday until 5:15 for 6th grade students. If you were unable to attend before, no worries, just show up at the meeting and learn what all the fun is about. We meet after school in room 313. If you have questions, see or email Mrs. Hinshaw.
