Hey Chiddix…. Here’s an update with your 2019 Chiddix Track Team State Finalists: Our State Finalists did a fantastic job representing our school overall and themselves by making MANY new self and school records.  A special shoutout to these podium winners and receiving a medal. Getting 7th in the state in 8th grade boys Long Jump with a jump of 19’5.5”, Chris Taylor.   Getting 6th in the state in the 7th grade girls 1600M run with a time of 5 minutes and 30 seconds, Olivia Corson. Also getting 6th in the state in 8th grade boys High Jump with a jump of 5’8”, Chris Taylor.  Getting 2nd in the state in 7 grade girls 4 by 200 meter relay with a time of 1 minute and 52 seconds, Abigail Ziemer, Aisha Munganga, Kendal Hall, Olivia Corson and Kenna Malinowski 2nd. We are incredibly proud of all of you!  


Attention ALL track athletes: If you forgot to bring in your banquet forms into the office to pay for your meal ticket please do that today or come see Mr. Miller.  Reminder the banquet will be tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21st from 6-8pm. Talk to Mr. Miller if you have any questions or need the form.


It's ice cream time! Join us for the last Chiddix PTO dine to donate on Tuesday, May 21st at Oberweis on Veteran's Parkway in Bloomington. The event runs 9 am to 10 pm and Oberweis will donate 20% of sales to the Chiddix PTO. Just mention you are there to support the Chiddix Junior High School PTO. We hope to see you there!


Today is the last day of the Book Fair!  Please make all purchases by 4:00.


Check your school email and IMC accounts to see if you forgot to turn in any books. You will NOT get your yearbook on Friday if you owe Mrs. Glatt anything. She will be back at Chiddix on Tuesday afternoon and you will have to wait until then.


Advanced Art Guild Members: Tonight is your art show at NCHS from 7-830. Make sure to pick up your artwork from the art room and take it to the high school. You are responsible for getting your work there!

Attention students entering 6th - 8th grades: If you are interested in Volleyball Camp 2019, please stop by the main office and pick up a flyer.  The camp will be June 10th-12th from 9:00-noon, and will be hosted by Sugar Creek Elementary School.


Any ladies interested in attending the Normal West Girls Basketball camp this summer, please stop by the office or Ms. Gross' office to grab a flyer for more information about the upcoming opportunity!


Attention all 8th Graders going on the Washington D.C. Trip later this month.  Please stop by Mr. Porter’s classroom to pick up luggage tags for your bags.


Do you enjoy running? Would you like to be part of a team with a history of developing successful runners, sportsmanship, building great friendships and having fun?? Cross country may be the sport for you! There will be a brief meeting TOMORROW from 5:30-6:00 pm in the cafeteria about cross country as well as our optional summer running club. Parents and runners are welcome to attend. Hope to see you there!


Students interested in participating in NCHS or NORMAL WEST Summer Camps, please stop by the Chiddix office to pick up a flyer.


8th Grade Girls who are interested in playing golf at Normal West this fall, can stop by the office to grab a flyer about the summer golf program and preseason meeting.


GSA and NIOS members will have an end of the year picnic this Thursday, May 23rd to celebrate all we have accomplished this year and to say farewell to our 8th grade members. Please stop by Ms. Chambers or Ms. Bettis rooms to get your permission slip TODAY. Signed slips are due back tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21st!!


Attention all students: If you are interested in a boys basketball camp this summer, come pick up the flyer in the office. This camp is at West, but you do not have to be going to West to attend.  There is a camp for 9-12 grades; and a separate camp for 6th-8th grades.
