Bettis Book Club will meet this Thursday from 11:10 to 11:40 in room 216. Be ready to discuss chapters 15-16 in Gordon Korman’s Restart.

 

Team Quest: If you will be attending the Team Quest competition on March 2nd, make sure you return the new permission slip by Monday 2/11.  If you need a new form, see Mrs. Hinshaw.

 

All Lit & Comp classes will be visiting our Follett Book Fair this week. You are also welcome to visit before or after school IF you have money to buy something.

 

Any one who has been reading the Rebecca Caudill books has until Tuesday, February 12th to see Mrs. Glatt with their bookmarks and get prizes.

 

Have you heard about betabrain?  It is a free science/technology/engineering/art/math competition for all Unit 5 and District 87 6th through 12th graders.  The theme for this year is Fixing Fairytale Feuds.  Come challenge your STEAM skills to right the wrongs of the past!  Register at www.unit5.org/betabrain (Ask your science teacher for more information.)

Congratulations to Chiddix who placed 8th of 16 teams in the Mahomet Wrestling Invitational!  Individuals who placed were: Caden Correll  1st, Anthony Deavers 2nd, Cyrus Muirhead 2nd, Matthew Hudelson 3rd, Caden Regnier 4th, Xavier Edwards 4th, Michael Raymond 5th, and Eric Leonard 6th.
