9/18/20 Update

Iron Parents & Guardians,

I hope everyone had a great week!  I appreciate your patience as we navigate through remote learning and please know that everyone is doing their best.  One great resource for your students might be our IMC (library).  Our IMC is open on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for students to pick up reserved books.  Students can learn more about this and request a book by visiting the IMC Website.  Please note that the IMC is not open for hanging out and prolonged browsing on Wednesdays.  We simply ask that students wear masks and observe social distance rules.

Also, take a look at our NCHS Announcements located on the NCHS homepage, as we have added a few student activities such as French Club, Best Buddies and a Nelson's Chicken fundraiser for After Prom!

ISU Tutoring
Illinois State University is a great community partner for Unit 5 students, families and staff.  The University is offering FREE academic and/or enrichment support to Unit 5 students.  The support is provided by ISU education students under the direction of their course instructors.  Please take a look at this Virtual Tutoring Program for families this semester.

Institute Day
We will have an Institute Day next Friday, September 25th, so there will not be any remote instruction on that day.

Counselor Appointments
If your student needs to talk with their school counselor or our College & Career Counselor for any reason, please encourage them to take a look at this document, which provides links where students can schedule their own appointments to speak with this counselors!

Just a reminder to continue to call your students in for medical appointments, trips out of town, etc., just as you would if we were learning in person.  Even if your student has told their teacher about being absent for an upcoming class period, we still need to code them correctly in our Infinite Campus system.  Again, our attendance line is 309-557-4450.

Please enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend and stay safe!
