    Room 246C will be donating all proceeds from today’s candy sales to victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. We encourage everyone to stop by our table and buy some candy so we can help all the victims!

    Through their fundraising efforts, Room 250 will be donating $320 to the Midwest Food Bank to help the hurricane victims. Thank you to all who contributed.

    Due to the large crowd anticipated for tonight’s varsity football game at Normal West, tickets are available for purchase until 3pm in the Athletic Director’s office, Room 74.

    Buy your tickets early at the student price of $3.00 and avoid waiting in line.  Student Activity Passes will NOT be accepted since we are not the home team but Unit 5 Family Passes will be accepted. Let your parents know that they can buy tickets ahead of time as well.  Let’s Go Iron!

    NCHS Stuco is partnering with FFA to host a "Not Your Normal Rivalry" money drive competition at tonight’s game.

    Students will be collecting money at the entrance as well as in the stands to support hurricane victims. Please consider bringing an extra dollar or two to the game to support this cause and help us win this competition. The winning school will be announced after the 3rd quarter!

    If you still need something to wear to tonight’s game, Spirit Wear will be sold today during lunch hours and after school.

    Ironmen Fans: Support your NCHS girls’ swimming & diving teams when they compete in the Iron Invite this Saturday at the NCHS pool. Diving events begin at 8:30 am and swimming events at 12:30 pm. Admission price is $3.00 for both students and senior citizens and $4.00 for adults and is good for the entire day - no Student Activity Passes or Unit 5 Family passes will be accepted since this is a special event.  Good luck Lady Iron Swimmers & Divers!

    High School Innovators are looking for students who enjoy solving problems and rethinking how things work to create new ideas. Applicants are eligible to compete in four rounds of competition during the 2017-2018 school year. Awards of $1,000 cash prizes and scholarships are available. Applications are due today. See Mrs. Shumaker in the main office for details.

    All Thespians should attend the meeting Monday after school in room 242 to discuss Homecoming and other activities for the year.

    Attention FCCLA members, or students interested in joining our club: We will be holding our first meeting next Monday, September 18th in room 19 right after school. The meeting will begin promptly at 3:35. See you there!

    Anyone interested in participating in the Battle of the Bands needs to see Mrs. Perez in room 222 for more information. Sign up forms will be due on September 22nd.

    The Mclean County Clerk is looking for high school students who are interested in serving as an Election Judge on Election Day; Tuesday, March 20th 2018. Along with learning about the election process, selected students will be paid $200 for the day. Applications can be picked up in the main office and are due back to Mrs. Shumaker by September 22nd.

    This week's senior of the week is Taylor Kern. Taylor's favorite school lunch is the deli sandwich; favorite teacher is Mr. Meadows; favorite TV show is "The Office." Taylor plans to attend SIU in Carbondale. Something you may not have known about Taylor is that she wants to become a cinematographer.
