During stressful situations, it can be hard to keep your calm.  The mind can start racing with all kinds of negative thoughts.  One mindfulness meditation activity that works really well to help calm you is deep breathing.  Try closing your eyes, and then focus on your breathing.  Take slow, deep breaths.  With every in breath, you focus on your diaphragm or belly, filling with air like a balloon.  As you exhale, you release any stress, worries, tension or negative thoughts.  Do this for 1-2 minutes, and then think about one thing you are grateful for.  Notice the difference in how you feel when you finish.
