    Model UN Club meets today after school in Room 6. See Mr. Keogh with questions.

    Students in room 250 are going to donate all their proceeds from today’s sales of candy and coffee to hurricane victims in Florida and Texas so be sure to stop by!

    Also stop by Interact Club's “Alex's Lemonade Stand” table in the Atrium during the lunch hours today and every Wednesday. Any donation will get you a cup of lemonade. Donations will go toward fighting childhood cancer.

    Mindful Iron is cancelled this afternoon. We will resume meditation Thursday morning at 7:45. See Robinson with questions.

    The first FCA will be Thursday morning at 7:45 in the Senior Cafeteria.

    Anyone interested in participating in the Battle of the Bands needs to see Mrs. Perez in room 222 for more information. Sign up forms will be due on September 22nd.

    High School Innovators are looking for students who enjoy solving problems and rethinking how things work to create new ideas. Applicants are eligible to compete in four rounds of competition during the 2017-2018 school year. Awards of $1,000 cash prizes and scholarships are available. Applications are due this Friday, Sept. 15th. See Mrs. Shumaker in the main office for details.

    The Mclean County Clerk is looking for high school students who are interested in serving as an Election Judge on Election Day; Tuesday, March 20th 2018. Along with learning about the election process selected students will be paid $200 for the day. Applications can be picked up in the main office and are due back to Mrs. Shumaker by September 22nd.

    Ironmen football fans:  Due to the large crowd anticipated for this Friday’s varsity football game at Normal West, early ticket sales will be held in the Athletic Director’s office, Room 74, today through Friday from 7:30-3:00.

    Buy your tickets early at the student price of $3.00 and avoid waiting in line.  Student Activity Passes will NOT be accepted Friday night since we are not the home team but Unit 5 Family Passes will be accepted.  Let your parents know that they can buy tickets ahead of time as well.  Let’s Go Iron!

    NCHS Stuco is partnering with FFA to host a "Not Your Normal Rivalry" money drive competition this Friday at the NCHS/West football game.

    Students will be collecting money at the entrance as well as in the stands to support hurricane victims. Please consider bringing an extra dollar or two to the game to support this cause and help us win this competition. The winning school will be announced after the 3rd quarter!

    This week's senior of the week is Taylor Kern. Taylor's favorite school lunch is the deli sandwich; favorite teacher is Mr. Meadows; favorite TV show is "The Office." Taylor plans to attend SIU in Carbondale. Something you may not have known about Taylor is that she wants to become a cinematographer.
