    The After-School Forge will be closed on Thursday this week due to Spring Break. The After-School Forge will be open for normal hours, 3:45-5:00, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

    The last IL Math League competition of the school year is this Tuesday, March 19 from 3:45 - 4:15 in the cafeteria.  Don’t forget a calculator and a pencil. Bring a friend!

    Lady Iron Soccer Fans:  Cheer on the varsity girls’ soccer team when they play U-High in the Intercity Soccer Tournament at home next week during Spring Break on Thursday, March 28 at 4:30 pm. Adult admission is $4.00 and student admission is $3.00 – no Unit 5 or student activity passes will be accepted since these games are part of the Intercity tournament.  Good luck Lady Iron!

    The next St. Jude Club meeting will be the week after spring break on Wednesday, April 3.  All St. Jude Club members need to attend.

    Attention Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors...are you interested in joining class board next year?  It is a chance to be involved and to represent your class at NCHS. Pick up a packet in the main office or get it from the NCHS website.  Plan to attend an information meeting on Wednesday, April 3rd at 7:00pm in the IMC. If you have any questions see Mrs. Tague, Mr. Safranek, Ms. Shoukry, Mrs. Freymann, or Mrs. Kelly.

    Want to play basketball for a good cause? The promise council at Normal West is hosting the Charlie Crabtree Memorial 3 on 3 basketball tournament on Saturday, May 4th. The all day tourney at Normal west is opened to all high school students and admission is free. Teams of 3 or 4 players must register by April 19. Check out the website www.promisecouncil3on3.com for more information. All money raised will help support students in need.

    This week's senior of the week is Emma Williams. Emma's favorite teacher is Vern and she guesses Mr. Feeney; favorite lunch is square pizza; favorite movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Emma plans to attend a four year university for stage management and production. Something you may not have known about Emma is that she has a healthy obsession with comic books.
