Did you know your brain is still developing until the age of 25?  As a matter of fact, during high school, it is undergoing rapid fire development making you able to learn and retain information better than at any time of your life outside of birth to three years.  this is a great thing if you are looking to increase your IQ or better your athleticism.  However, it can be a very bad thing if you introduce alcohol and other drugs.  What you need to know is , addiction is learned, this is why 90% of addictions have roots in the teen years and the impacts of alcohol and drugs on a developing brain can do damage.  This is why the legal drinking age is 21 and even in states where marijuana is legal, the age is 21.
