• NCWHS Announcements – Tuesday, January 17th, 2023

    For any student who is interested in playing card games such as poker, euchre, spades, hearts, rummy, etc., please come to the informational meeting for Card Club on Monday January 23 in room 216.  Please see Mr. Breuning if you have any questions.  

    FCA is back this semester! The Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets every Tuesday morning at 7:30 in room 150A. Also, FCA will be holding a spikeball tournament on January 29th at 2:00 p.m. Winners will receive two $10 Chick-fil-A gift cards! Contact Mr. Rumps or Carter Bergeron for more details on joining FCA and signing up for the spikeball tournament.

    There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, January 18th in the Senior Cafe at 3:35 p.m. for all girls interested in joining the Lady Wildcat Track & Field Team.  See Coach Copple in the pool office if you have any questions.

    If you have an NCWHS teacher or staff member who you believe deserves some recognition, here is your chance to give them a shout-out!  Look for the nominations form that is linked below every couple of
    weeks during this semester to nominate a teacher or staff member you think exhibits "kat-itude." The link is

    Congrats to the Normal West dance team who placed first in the 3A hip hop division at the IDTA dance competition this Saturday in Clinton!!

    Best Buddies will meet on Tuesday, January 24th from 3:30-4:30 pm in the Senior Cafe.  If you are unable to attend, email Ms. Lueschen or Ms. Geiselman

    Boys track and field will begin next Monday, Jan 23rd. Make sure you are registered on 8to18. Practice is 3:45-5:45 after school, we will meet by the record boards. Boys in a winter sport will join after their winter sport is completed. Check the band app for updates or email coach aubin with any questions. 

    Sophomores and Juniors- Are you looking for a leadership opportunity?   Do you want to help others?   The 2023-2024 mentoring application is up and running!    Whether you work with FMP or AMP, you will have an opportunity to positively impact our school.   Applications are due February 10th!   Check your email, look for QR codes around the building or talk to your counselor during course selection to apply!  See Mr. Klokkenga or Mr. Ostling with questions.
