NCWHS Announcements – Monday, October 17, 2022
PRIDE will meet this Wednesday in room 209 to paint pumpkins. All materials will be provided. Please see Mrs. Long or Ms. Evans with any questions.
Lifetouch will be here on Thursday, October 20th in 150 A/B for picture retakes. If you have not had a picture taken for the yearbook or would like your picture from registration retaken, this would be the time to do that. They will be here from 8:30 to 3:30.
The Illinois general election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. If you would like information about getting registered to vote in this election, Mr. Berardi will have an information table set up in the atrium Thursday and Friday during the lunch hours. If you are eligible, you can register to vote during this time. See Mr. Berardi in Room 1000 with questions.
Art Club will meet on Tuesday, October 18th in room 113.
You get a donut! You get a donut! Everyone can get a donut! Every Friday for the rest of the school year, stop by the atrium outside of the cafeteria before school and during lunch periods to get a Krispy Kreme donut for a dollar while supplies last. All money goes towards helping students traveling abroad in the summer of 2023.
Are you interested in making a difference within the community or just want to explore Latin culture? Join Nuestra Voz for a Halloween-themed introductory meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 18th in room 1008 from 3:30-4:30. There will be candy, music, and games. All students are welcome. Attention Students: DO you need help with homework or just a quiet place to study? Then our After School Assistance Program is for you. It will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays in the IMC beginning today from 3:35-4:35. Transportation will be provided if you need it. Calling all Juniors and Seniors! National English Honors Society is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year. If you are interested in being in the National English Honors Society, please pick up an application form outside of Ms. Ruff's classroom, room 128. The deadline to turn in applications is Friday, October 21
All Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors interested in trying out for the 2023 Normal West Baseball teams, there will be a Mandatory Informational Meeting in the Cafeteria on Monday, October 24th from 3:30-4:15. Be sure to bring a writing utensil and let your fall and winter sport coaches know in advance. We will discuss signups, tryout info, intramural info, and Q&A. Any questions, see Coach Beaty in the math office.
Student Council will be selling Halloween lollipops in the Atrium starting next Monday. Stop by our table and support your school! While there - sign up for the blood drive!!

Jostens is partnering with NCWHS to bring you Letterman’s jackets!! IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE BY CHRISTMAS, please return with payment to the school office no later than FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21ST. Remember to bring any patches you’d like to include on the jacket with the order form, there is no extra charge for this.
