Tips Before You Apply

  • As you prepare to submit your application for consideration, here is some helpful information.

    • Have electronic versions of your cover letter and resume meeting the guidelines below:
      • Documents can be either text files or image/scanned files.
      • The maximum file size for uploads is 1 Megabyte (1 MB) or 1000 Kilobytes (1000 KB).
      • The following extensions will be accepted by the system:
        • Text Files (.doc or .rtf);
        • Image/Scanned Files (.pdf, .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png or .tif).
      • Image/Scanned Files should be created in black and white (1 bit). 
    • Have contact information for 3 professional references

  • Our online application system Frontline Recruiting & Hiring allows you to complete an application for employment for current and future openings in McLean County Unit District No. 5. Please follow the instructions below to learn more.

  • Step 1: Visit the Employment tab on the Unit 5 website or click HERE to be redirected.

    Step 2: View the list of current vacancies or click 'All Jobs' to see a list of all job openings.

    Step 3: Once you have selected a position you'd like to be considered for, click the "Apply" button in the Job Title header to start the application process.

    The application process consists of multiple steps and may take 30 to 60 minutes to complete. If you are unable to complete your application at one time, you may save your application progress and return later. Once you have initiated your application, your information will be accessible to Unit 5 Human Resources, even if you do not submit your application to formally apply.
