Fosters one-to-one friendships between students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).  The high school years are a time of heightened social and emotional development and can be difficult even for those without IDD.  Best Buddies High Schools helps break through social barriers at an important time in a young person's life.

This depends on what type of member you become.  There are two different types of members.  Students have the opportunity to be matched in a one-to-one friendship where the met the requirements each month.  Students commit to contact each other once a week and spend time together twice a month.  On the other hand, an Associate Member is not placed in a one-to-one friendship, but participates in all other events and planning for the chapter.  There is a place in the chapter for everyone!
