    Volunteer Opportunities and Events

    Room Parents

Each classroom needs room parents to plan parties (Halloween, Christmas, Valentines), create a carnival basket, and show their teacher how appreciated they truly are!  Even if you are not a room parent, there are many volunteer opportunities you will have to assist the room parents!

     Hospitality

Showing appreciation for our teachers at Hudson Elementary is the main objective of PTO Hospitality.  With the primary focus on staff, Hospitality committee provides monthly late start breakfasts, birthday gift cards, treats/gifts during appreciation week, and much more.  They also provide Donuts with Dads and Muffins with Mom. Volunteers may be requested to make/donate food or assist with set-ups.

    Friendship Garden

The PTO is proud of our school inside and out.  The Friendship Garden committee is focused on maintaining the outside of the school.  This includes the landscape, basketball hoops, benches, etc. Last year the PTO purchased picnic tables for the Friendship Garden.  Volunteers may be requested to donate items such as plants or to donate time to maintain the outside of Hudson School.

    Box Tops

Save all of your Box Tops!  The school has earned over $6,000 from Box Top donations since 2012.  Classroom competitions are held for the most Box Tops collected. Box Tops can be turned in to the classroom at any time on a box top paper or in a baggie. Box Top papers will be sent home to fill as you collect!!

    Restaurant Nights

There will be restaurant nights throughout the school year where Hudson will receive a portion of the proceeds.  We encourage you to use these opportunities to eat with your family while helping earn money for Hudson School!

Ice Cream Social & Book Fair

The book fair is sponsored by the IMC. However, the PTO supports the library fundraiser by providing ice cream treats & an opportunity for families to visit.  Last year the PTO donated $200.00 to each teacher to spend on books! Scholastic matched the PTO’s contribution ($3,000) and donated to charity. Volunteers may be requested to donate treats, serve refreshments, and set-up/clean-up.

    Bingo Night

Bingo night is a fun, family night where you play bingo and can win wonderful prizes! If you can make it, you don't want to miss it!
