    Fed Challenge is an academic competition designed to give students an in depth understanding of real-world economics. Teams play the role of monetary policymakers by analyzing economic conditions and recommending a course for monetary policy.

    Activities:  
     
    Students meet after school approximately once a week beginning in November to research the the American economy.  After completing research, students work together to craft a 15 minute presentation and accompanying PowerPoint that details the current economic situation in the U.S. and makes a policy recommendation for the Federal Reserve Bank.  In April, the team competes in the Fed Challenge Competition at the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago.  

    Meeting Times:  

    Listen to the announcements for an informational meeting in November.  Weekly after school meetings will start in December and continue until the competition in April.
