  • NCWHS Student Announcements – Monday, November 27th, 2023

    On Friday, December 8 from 6:00-8:00pm, Normal West Girls Who Code Club, CyberPatriot, AP Computer Science students and Computer Science Honor Society members will be hosting our 8th Annual K-8 Coding Night!!  This is a FREE event and will be held in person!  We would love to have volunteers (teachers, high school students, etc.) for this event!  Please help spread the word to get some K-8 students signed up.

    PRIDE Club will meet on Wednesday, November 29th until 4:30 in room 1008.

    There is Academic Assistance this week – Monday and Wednesday.

    Are you a girl who is interested in learning more about 3D printing? If so, attend our 3rd STEM Sisterhood Luncheon on Friday, December 1 in the IMC during your lunch period. You can register at  sites.google.com/unit5.org/weststemgirls

    Best Buddies will meet on Tuesday, December 12th from 3:30-4:30 pm in the Senior Cafe. There will be a group ornament exchange. Please bring in an ornament to exchange. If you are unable to attend, email Ms. Lueschen or Ms. Peterson

    BACC (Bloomington Area Career Center) HEAT Academy will offer:
    SOLAR, WIND, AND ELECTRIC VEHICLE: Flyer LINK-Academy and BNSTem will offer a Solar, Wind, and Electric Vehicle "Clean Energy" program to high school students in the region.  The program is a non-credit Saturday morning class that will run from January to April and will meet primarily at Illinois State.

    Students will explore careers and learn skills and concepts related to Wind, Solar, and Electric Vehicle technologies.  The course will be taught by local business professionals and coordinated by a high school Technology Education instructor.  Students may register via the link below or via the QR Code on the flyer.

    CYBERSECURITY: Flyer LINK-We will also offer our Cybersecurity program to high school students in the region.  The program is a non-credit Wednesday evening and Saturday morning class that will run from January to April and will meet primarily at Illinois State.   Students will get to explore careers and learn skills and concepts related to Cybersecurity.  The course will be taught by local business professionals and coordinated by two HS Computer Science/Math Instructors.  Students may register via the link below or via the QR Code on the flyer.

    Juniors it is finally time....to apply to be an IE for your Senior Year!  Innovative Entrepreneurs are where an innovation in education is happening.  Would you like to learn how to be innovative?  Create your own product, service, and/or business?
