About Us

The Unit 5 Educational Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We work together with the school district to determine needs and provide support that enhances educational opportunities district-wide.

Mission

The mission of the Unit 5 Educational Foundation is to enhance educational opportunities that inspire personal and community excellence.

History

The Unit 5 Educational Foundation was founded in 2012. It started out of the desire of two parents wanting to donate money for supplies needed for chemistry experiments. At that time, there was not a way to donate money in a more directed and equal way. 

Over the years, the Foundation has continued to evolve, making a significant impact throughout the district. A few of the opportunities made possible by the Foundation include: 

• Scholarships for graduating seniors
• STEM education in elementary and junior high schools
• Math and reading study aid subscriptions
• Document cameras, 3D printers, and tablets
