• Let's Talk is a fun club where students can practice their speaking skills and leadership skills. It is a safe environment where no one makes fun of anyone else, where your ideas are respected, and where you learn things that can help you in other areas of your life. Students will meet for approximately 1 hour twice a month. During this time they will select pieces to perform, practice with fellow club members, receive feedback from Mrs. Brown, and present their selections. It is expected that students memorize and practice their solo/duet pieces outside of scheduled club meeting time. Besides working on acting/speech selections students will learn speech warm-ups and debating techniques.
Mrs. Brown, a 7th grade Literature and Language Arts teacher will help with leading meetings and coaching speeches.
