Who: District 6B students, teachers, and chaperones
On Friday, October 28th, our team will head to Hudson for some team-building activities, problem-solving opportunities, and outdoor fun. We will need several parent chaperones. If you are interested, please let us know as soon as possible by completing and returning the bottom portion by Friday, October 14. We will be going rain or shine so prepare for the weather! Lunch will be provided and consists of a hot dog roast. You may pack an alternate lunch if you would prefer something else. This trip will entail lots of walking and hiking so come prepared with the following:
Rain gear (if needed)
Clothes that are appropriate for the weather on the 28th

District 6B FAMILIES ARE INVITED
Dear District 6B Families,
Parent-Teacher Conferences are on Wednesday, October 12th and Thursday, October 13th from 4:00-7:00pm. We conduct student-led conferences, which means that your child needs to attend the conference with you along with their laptop. During this time, your child will go through some items that they have prepared. You will have the opportunity to see some of their selected work, listen as they share their perspective, ask questions, and provide feedback for your child. Conferences will be held in the H-Pod.
Why we do Student-Led Conferences: In order for learners to play a more active role in their academic careers, we are encouraging each learner to present work gathered throughout the year. We believe that an experience such as this can only enhance the communication between learners, parents, and teachers. This experience will help in establishing ownership/accountability for work, improving critical thinking skills, developing goal-setting strategies, and can also serve as valuable preparation for the learners’ future academic and professional success. Thus, it is extremely important that your son/daughter be present at his/her conference.
This year sign-up for conferences is done online starting Thursday, September 15th. Please visit the EJHS Homepage for directions. Conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 12th and Thursday, October 13th from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
Conferences will consist of multiple students in the room individually going through their presentation with their parents while teachers are present and available for questions.
The following time slots will be available online for both days and there is a maximum of 7 students allowed to sign-up in each time slot.
If the conference days are not convenient for you, have your child present his/her work at home and you can set a goal with your child which he/she can submit through Google Classroom once completed. If you have specific academic or behavioral concerns about your student that you would like to discuss privately please send us an email and we will schedule an alternative date and time during the school day to meet with you.
