Dr Weikle Dr. Weikle has been an educator for 24 years and is the 13th superintendent of Unit 5 Schools. She previously served as the Superintendent at Warrensburg-Latham CUSD 11, and as the Director of Special Education for the Special Education Association of Adams County. She also was a Principal in Quincy Public Schools, and an adjunct professor at John Wood Community College in Quincy. 

    Originally from a farm outside of Quincy, IL, where her parents still reside, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Education - Curriculum & Instruction, from Quincy University. She received her doctorate from Western Illinois University in Educational Leadership. Dr. Weikle was recognized as a “20 Under 40” by both the Decatur Herald and Review and the Quincy Herald Whig. 

    Married to her husband Skip, they have six children ranging in age from a high school senior to 27 years.  They are proud grandparents of a one-year-old granddaughter. Dr. Weikle enjoys exercising and going to sporting events, concerts and plays. Her passion is reading, especially mysteries and inspirational stories.  She almost always is reading a book for pleasure, as well as a book to help grow professionally.
