I am from a small town about 2 hours west of Bloomington (near Iowa). I graduated from Bradley University in 2004 and taught in Peoria schools for 2 years. Then, I moved to Morton and taught in Pekin for 7 years. In 2012, I earned my master's degree in school administration.
My family moved to Bloomington in August 2014 since my husband works for State Farm. We have 2 daughters, Addison (a 3rd grader at Colene Hoose) & Cassidy (kindergarten at Hoose), and 1 dog- a crazy Lhasa Apso named Chewy.
This is my 13th year teaching. I have taught students in all grades from K-8.
I am also the director of a non-profit organization called Sidewalk Sunday School. As a part of that group, I spend much of my free time working with at-risk kids and their families during the summer months.
I'm blessed to be a part of the Sugar Creek staff and can't wait to get to know your family!
