Hi! My name is Stacy Smith. I grew up in a small town. I moved to the Bloomington Normal area to attend Illinois State University. I received my Bachelor's and Masters' in Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Illinois State University.
I have my national certification in speech-language pathology (CCC), my teaching certificate (Type 10), and my Illinois professional license to provide speech language services (IDPR-L). I am a member of our local speech-language organization (CISHA) and national organization (ASHA). I have been involved on our racial diversity committee at Unit 5 and have attended numerous trainings. I have taught classes to other teachers in the areas of speech (Boardmaker) and racial diversity.
I currently teach the preschool phonological program at Sugar Creek. Currently, I also service walk-in students on Fridays. If you have any questions or concerns regarding speech-language development or your child's progress, please feel free to contact me by phone or email.
