All About Me

I am a graduate of North Central College in Naperville, IL with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with minors in Music and English. I experienced a variety of grade levels while pursuing my degree in education, but I am most passionate about fostering students' social, emotional and academic development during their early years of school. I love seeing the students' excitement and passion for learning as they develop and grow throughout Kindergarten. 

Before joining Unit 5 as a Kindergarten teacher, I taught Kindergarten in the Berwyn South School District and the Chicago Public Schools. I am curretly pursuing my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Literacy. I strive to discover the unique needs of my students and create engaging lesson plans, activities, and classroom routines that allow all students to succeed. I believe in educating the whole child by incorporating music, technology, movement, art, and social development into all areas of learning. I ensure that my students maximize their potential in the classroom to prepare them for a successful future.
