Counselor News/UpdatesFinancial Aid (FAFSA) Workshop offered at Normal West!If you are needing help to fill out the application for college financial aid (known as the FAFSA) or to understand the information after completing the process, please plan to attend this workshop on Thursday, November 16th at 6:00 p.m. in the Normal West IMC. Gina, our "college coach", represents the Illinois Student Assistance Commission and helps our families navigate the sometimes confusing financial aid process.

College Fair at ISU!
The Greater McLean County College Night is on Tuesday, October 10 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm in the Bone Student Center at Illinois State University. Read more atwww.Admissions.IllinoisState.edu/collegefair.
Many colleges at the fair will use Strivescan as a method to get demographic information about students. Please encourage your students to register at: https://app.strivescan.com/students and then they can easily share their information with college representatives at the fair.
GPS Series at Heartland
The Guided Path to Success (GPS) Workshop Series is designed to help you with study techniques, life skills and career readiness. This semester 14 topics will be offered. Attend the ones that are the most beneficial to you.
EARN FREE COLLEGE CREDITS!
Earn one free General Studies (GENS) credit by participating in at least eight different workshops and completing the homework assignments and a final reflective essay. You can earn up to 3 free credits by continuing to participate in the program in future semesters. Please note: if you have completed GENS 105, Life Success, you cannot earn additional credit by attending the workshops. Fall Workshops Application Process
