  • News for Incoming Freshmen
     
     Welcome Class of 2027 to Normal West!!  We are so excited to have you as a part of our Wildcat family!!
     
     
    Reminder: Freshmen First Day on Friday, August 11th from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM.  Looking forward to meeting you all on Friday!!
     
    Here is a little overview about what we typically do in FMP: 
     
    Mondays-View The Harbor-This is a motivational video that freshmen and mentors will watch and then discuss.
     
    Tuesdays-Guest Speaker Day-Freshmen will have a guest speaker in their advisory, while the mentors will be out of the room planning for the next week.
     
    Wednesdays-Grade Check-In/Study Day-Freshmen and mentors will use advisory time to set academic and non-academic goals, check grades, and work on assignments.
     
    Thursdays and Fridays-Activity Days-Mentors will lead freshmen in an activity, game, challenge, or other competition such as a Minute to Win It Challenge.  Some of these activities will be individual while others are in a group.  Students will also talk about upcoming school-related activities.
