Speech and Language

McLean County Unit District No. 5 Speech and Language Services:

Our Speech and Language Services are provided by 50 nationally accredited and licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). Each of these professionals have completed educational programs at the Master’s level or beyond.  They serve over 1,500 students in programs ranging from 3 - 22 years old in schools and programs across the district. SLPs at McLean County Unit District No. 5, serve students in the areas of speech, language, voice, fluency, pragmatics and literacy.  In addition to providing speech and language therapy, each SLP is an important team member and has many other educational responsibilities within their school day.  They work collaboratively with teachers, parents, building team members and district administrators to deliver quality speech and language services to students that qualify through MTSS, 504 or IEP plans.
