A database is an online collection of organized information.

The information found within these databases is all 100% accurate, valid, and is constantly updated.  All of the following databases can be used at home as well.  You will need a user name and password to access them outside of school, so make sure you get a list of these from your librarians.

Science in Context provides users with access to updated Science reference content with full-text magazines, academic journals, news articles, experiments, images, videos, audio files and links to vetted websites organized into a user-friendly portal.
Gale Student Resources in Context covers all core curriculum areas, including history, literature, science, social studies, and more. It provides a premium selection of reference material, more than 1,100 full-text periodicals and newspapers, primary sources, creative works, and multimedia.  Gale PowerSearch

GVRL is an e-book database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but are now accessible online from the library or remotely 24/7.

Gale PowerSearch is a search platform that provides you with access to all the Gale content in your library’s collection through one, single search query.
Literary Reference Center is a comprehensive database that provides users with a broad spectrum of information on thousands of authors and their works across literary disciplines and time frames. 
Bloom’s Literature contains more than 20,000 critical essays from over 500 literary journals and 2,300 scholarly and critical books, including 700 titles published by Bloom’s Literary Criticism and Facts On File. Also included in the database are more than 13,000 biographies, 45,000 character entries, 5,000 synopses of literary works and hundreds of images and videos.
