What is a PSA?
A PSA is an ad that seeks to persuade an audience to take a specific action or adopt a particular viewpoint on a cause or social issue.
PSA Pre-Planning Questions:
- Target Audience: Who do I want to reach with my message?
- Message: What is my message?
- Message: What do I want the viewer to understand?
- Significance of Issue to the Public: Why is this issue important to the public (school, community, state, country, world)?
- Action Step: What is the call to action?
- Action Step: What do I want the viewer to do?
- Action Step: How can the viewer help solve the problem?
Create a shared Google folder with your group members. As a group compile your:
- Research
- Source citations
- Images/videos
