ParentSquare

Go to ParentSquare or download the ParentSquare app and search for Unit 5 Schools. Once you have located our district, you may create your account. If you have a district email (ending in @unit5.org), you should select Log in with Google. If you do not have a district email and you are a parent, you should create an account using the email we have on file in Infinite Campus. 

Community members can create accounts using this link.

The default setting is to receive a text and email notification for most forms of communication. If you do not think you are receiving notifications, please review your Notification Settings, which you can find by going to your account management center.

ParentSquare is designed for sending all manner of communication. The district will send information, including reminders, events, cancellations, and emergency notifications. Schools will use ParentSquare similarly and should also send principal newsletters or updates through the platform. 

Teachers also have access to ParentSquare and can share classroom updates, homework assignments, and more. Uses may vary by grade level and school.

If your teacher has started a direct message with you, you will receive that notification over text, email, and in the app if you have downloaded it. You can respond in any format, and you can return to that message by going into the website or app and selecting your messages. 

You can only start a Message with a staff member who has already messaged you themselves. If you are wanting to start a message with someone else, we recommend sending an email, calling the school, or going through another designated communication channel.

To change your opt-in settings, you will need to log in to ParentSquare on a web browser or use the app. Once you are logged in, you can navigate to your profile, then click Notification Settings. You will see the option to select which type of notification you would like to receive (text, email, both, or neither). You may review and change these settings at any time.

While there is no requirement to remain opted in to receiving notifications, you may miss updates from the school and district by opting out. You can always view these updates by manually going to the ParentSquare site or app. 

ParentSquare offers families the choice of how frequently they would like to receive their email updates. The digest will send all messages from the schools and district in emails around 5 p.m. every day. Instant notifications allow families to get emails each time a post is made by the district or schools. You may change these settings at any time by going to the web browser or mobile app, navigating to your profile, then selecting Notification Settings.

1. Log in to your main ParentSquare account.
2. If you have unverified contact information, you will see one or more contact cards under, “Action Required: Confirm Your Account Information.”
   
   Note: You can also click “Confirm Contact Info” on your Account page to start the process.
3. Confirm Email and/or Phone. A verification code will be sent to the email or phone number. Enter this verification code in ParentSquare to confirm.
4. Confirm Child(ren).
5. Confirm your name and school affiliations by clicking Yes, this is me.
    

Is your phone number wrong? Do you want to change your primary email? Is your name misspelled? Do you see information for a student who’s not yours?

Contact details in ParentSquare are managed by Infinite Campus. To ensure you are receiving communication to your desired address or number, please update your information in Infinite Campus.

If you have more than one ParentSquare account (for example, because your name, email, or phone number didn’t match), you can combine them into one.

What to do:

• Log in to your main ParentSquare account.
• Click your name in upper right and select Manage Account.
• Click Combine with another account.
• If other accounts match your verified email(s) or phone(s), click Combine Accounts.
• If the account you want doesn’t show up, click Combine Another Account and sign in with that account.
• Choose the name you want to use, then click Combine Accounts.
• Now you’ll see all your students in one account, and you can log in using any of your email addresses or phone numbers.

If you are missing a child/school, it may be because:

• Your contact information is inconsistent across Infinite Campus. 
• You have more than one ParentSquare account with different contact information.

What to do:

If you’re missing kids, schools, or contact info in ParentSquare, first try confirming your account information (See "How do I confirm my contact details?" above).

If the information is still missing, you may want to try combining your existing accounts (See "How do I combine/merge accounts?" above).

If neither of these steps is successful, please check Infinite Campus to confirm contact information is consistent for all students.

Languages are automatically updated based on the home language provided in Infinite Campus. If you wish to change your preferred language, you may want to change the information in Infinite Campus first. To proceed with changing your language in ParentSquare alone, you must:

1. Open ParentSquare in a web browser.
2.  On your home page, click your name and select “Manage Account.” Then, select “Language Settings.”
3. Select your preferred language and save.

1. If you are using the mobile app: From your home screen, click the triple bar in the top left corner. Click on “Account,” then “Preferences,” then “Language.”
2. Select your preferred language and save.
