DIGITAL MEDIA PRODUCTION
(Semester ½ Credit, Yearly 1 Credit) (10, 11, 12)
Prerequisite: 1 Semester of Technology Concepts
This semester or full year course examines how to communicate using digital media. Students will learn how to create digital media in the areas of web page design, computer animation, digital video editing, graphic design, and audio. Within each area students will learn how to create digital media content including text, digital images, videos, and sound. Throughout this course students will become proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Vegas Movie Studio, Macromedia Flash, SharePoint, Audacity, etc. Students will design and develop products such as mouse pads, t-shirts, coffee cups, commercials/short videos, web pages, and computer animations. This class will utilize the television studio for video creation and editing. This is an articulated course with Heartland Community College for college credit.
