Sight Words

  • These are the first 25 words that we want your child to know.  These are called sight words, or high-frequency words.  These are words your child should know upon sight (within 3 seconds).  These are not words we want them sounding out.  They should know them from memorizing them.  These are words found often in stories and will help them be successful readers if they know these words right away.
