In an effort to promote heart health and improve our students’ cardiorespiratory fitness, the “Knight Run” will start in September. Each month, students participate in an endurance run that increases one minute each month.
Students are strongly encouraged to jog at a steady pace for the entire time. If students are able to jog the entire time without walking or stopping, they are rewarded with a certificate and sign the Knight Run Achievement poster for their class. Fitness activities throughout the month allow students’ to continually improve and be successful during the official Knight Run.Visit the Physical Education links tab on our home page and check out the studies that have shown that children who are aerobically fit have a tendency to achieve higher academic achievement.
