Order your yearbook!
Simply go to www.jostensyearbooks.com, type in Northpoint Elementary School, city and state. Please fill in student information and homeroom when ordering. Please note: personalized yearbooks MUST be ordered online. Paper orders are for yearbooks ONLY (no personalization).Online orders are encouraged! (If needed, paper order forms are available in the office.) Deadline to order is February 28th!
We will be having kindergarten registration at Northpoint on Tuesday, March 12th. We will be offering two times to register your child, 8:00 am & 1:00 pm. Registration takes approximately one hour. Please call the Northpoint office to schedule an appointment to register, 557-4420.
Children must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2019 in order to be eligible for enrollment in kindergarten.
Children will be registered at the school they will attend, unless otherwise noted. Parents should plan to bring their incoming kindergarten student with them for registration activities.
Students living in an open attendance area will register at Glenn Elementary School, 306 Glenn Ave., Normal. Registration times are 9am and 1pm.
Required items for registration:
- Your child
- A certified birth certificate must be presented on registration day or the first day of school in August. The souvenir hospital certificate with the footprints will not be accepted.
- Students entering kindergarten MUST turn in a current physical exam and all immunizations (dated after 8-16-18) by the first day of school or they will not be allowed to attend classes. Parents are encouraged to turn in this information at registration. In addition, students are required to have an eye exam (due by September 15, 2019) and a dental exam (due by May 15, 2020).
- Proof of residency must be presented. Required forms come in two categories. Category A consists of the following (NEED ONE DOCUMENT): real estate tax bill, signed lease, mortgage document/payment book, residency attestation, military housing. Category B consists of the following (NEED TWO DOCUMENTS): bills (gas, electric, water, phone, cable), vehicle registration, bank statement, public aid/Medicaid/food stamp card, paycheck stub, driver’s license/state ID. Families with students currently enrolled and having already established proof of residency do not need to meet this requirement. For more information, please visit www.unit5.org.

Have you checked out the new PTO website? A huge thanks to Kelly Hipsher for putting in the time to create a website that is accessible and easy to navigate. Visitors wanting to join their students for lunch should call the office before 8:30am to report the number of guest lunches needed. Guest lunches are $2.65 and lunch tickets may be purchased in the office upon arrival. Please bring exact change. Thank you!

Volunteering at Northpoint
Again this year, all volunteers will complete the online link for volunteer background checks. The link for the background screening is available on our Northpoint home page, in the Knight Links section. Renewing volunteers will not receive a new ID badge unless they request one from the office.
