Week of December 2nd
The Normal West Black Student Union is collecting $5-10 brand new, unwrapped toys, books, puzzles, and gift cards for the Center for Hope Joy of Giving Event that will be held on December 14. Please take your donations to Dr. Caffey's office by December 13.
Normal West Orchestras will present their Winter Concert on Thursday December 5th at 7 p.m. in the auditorium, join us for an evening of great music and celebrate a great semester with a cookie/punch reception following.
There will be a parent/player informational meeting for all boys and girls interested in playing lacrosse this Spring. The meeting will be held at NCHS, on Thursday, December 5th, at 6 PM, in the cafeteria. Both boys and girls lacrosse teams will be cooperative teams hosted by Normal Community with Normal West and Bloomington students eligible to play. Please note that the Dec. 5th meeting will be at Normal Community High School.
If you need something to read over winter break, the IMC can fix you up with a good book! Stop by and check out our Winter reads on display and the new books before you leave for break! Books will not be due until January 10th!

Winter Color Guard is a performance art form where music is interpreted through dance and flag choreography. All current NCHS and NCWHS students are eligible to participate. Clinics and Auditions will be held in the Normal West Auditorium on Monday, December 2 and Tuesday, December 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, December 7 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Jostens rep will be at your school to deliver your class jewelry on Friday, December 13th During Lunch in the atrium You may bring cash or check that day or pay online prior to delivery day using the postcard and emailed invoice. Students on the JPAY Payment Plan in good standing will receive their ring! Any student may place an order for a class ring that day, or use this day as a service day to get your class ring repaired or resized. JOSTENS WILL ALSO BE TAKING ORDERS FOR SENIORS THAT DIDN’T GET THEIR ORDER IN and Letter Jackets. Please contact Jostens with any questions.
Start thinking about sending a little holiday cheer to your friends to get them through finals week, students on junior class board will be selling Candy Cane Grams during lunch hours from December 9th thru December 13th. Cost $1, includes candy cane, ribbon and gift tag which you can personalize. Candy grams will be delivered 1st hour on December 17th, so if you know your friends 1st hour when purchasing that would be VERY helpful!
On Friday, December 13 from 6:00-8:00pm, Normal West Girls Who Code Club, CyberPatriot, and Computer Science Honor Society members will be hosting our 4th Annual K-8 Coding Night! This is a FREE event! More information can be found at www.unit5.org/gwc
