EJHS CHESS TEAM SWEEPS STATE!
Evans is the first school in IESA history to sweep all three state titles in chess in the same year! Vamsi M. is the first student in Illinois History to win the Individual State title all three years in middle school. Congratulations to our Chess Team!
POSTER CONTEST WINNER ANNOUNCED
The winner of Officer Wagehoft's door poster contest is Diya I. (6a). Diya wrote:
"Officer Wagehoft, Thank you for this opportunity to showcase my artistic ability. The theme for the poster is "Love and Service". The hands show the students' love for the officer. The four corners of the poster depicts the resources that the officer protects".
JUNIOR HIGH BOWLINGAre you interested in junior high bowling? If so, tryouts are Friday, March 1st, Saturday, March 2nd and Friday, March 8th at Pheasant Lanes. Friday's tryouts are from 4:30 - 6:00pm and Saturdays tryouts are noon - 2:00pm. Make sure you're registered on 8to18. See Mr. Papoccia with any questions.
On Monday, October 30th the Illinois State Board of Education released the annual School Report for all schools in Illinois. Attached you will find a letter that explains our schools summative designation and where you can access more information regarding school report cards. I am proud to say that our school continues to grow and improve every year. This is something to celebrate as a school community!

All sport and club registrations on 8to18 will be closed at 3:45, at least 2 business days before the start date, in order to give our staff time to process student paperwork. If you have any questions, please reach out to the office. Thank you! Your student must register on 8to18 for EACH activity.
