NCWHS Announcements – Monday, March 6th, 2023
3.1415926535…. Want a chance to win a pie and a gift card for Pi Day?! Enter our pi day competition and recite the most digits of pi to win. Talk to your math teacher or find Mrs. Root in room 204 for more details. Last day to qualify is March 10th.
NCWHS Ultimate Frisbee (UFL) Preseason Meeting: If you are interested in playing Ultimate Frisbee this year, please send one representative from your team to attend the informational meeting on Wednesday, March 15th at 3:35 PM in room 211. This year’s rules, setup, and t-shirts will be discussed. If you have any questions, please see or email Mr. Burt (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Jostens will be set up during lunch hours on Wednesday March 8th for any student needing to place an order for class ring, graduation order, or letter jacket. If you need your ring resized or repaired at no charge, see the Jostens rep that day.
The Normal West Bands are proud to present Jazz Night 2023! We have planned a Mardi Gras-themed program that includes performances from the Normal West Jazz Orchestra and two Jazz Kats groups, the Normal West Jazz Voices, the Normal Community Jazz Bands, and the Junior High Jazz Bands from Chiddix, Kingsley, Parkside. It will be a fun evening of music, and we hope you will join us to see some of the talented and dedicated musicians from Unit 5. We will also be holding a silent auction, and concessions will be available. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. with performances starting at 5 p.m. in the Normal West Auditorium.
Listen up to the following for all things PROM!: Junior and Senior Wildcats, this year's prom theme is Enchanted Forest. Prom is at the Parke Regency hotel and conference center on April 15. Tickets can be purchased for Prom and Post Prom at this link: normal-west-junior-class.ticketleap.com/normal-wests-enchanted-forest-prom-2023/. Prom Early Bird tickets will be sold March 6-15 at $20 then will be $25 from March 15-April 13. Post Prom tickets are $10. All guest tickets must be purchased after completing the prom guest form from the office.
Calling all prom attendees! Junior Board will be selling T-shirts for this upcoming prom for $20. Stop by the table at lunch from March 1st through March 17th to order/make a payment. T-shirts will be delivered to homerooms in April before prom. The last day to order and pay is March 17th.
If you were invited to the Academic Awards Night on Monday, Feb. 27th and couldn't make it, please stop into the Guidance Office to see Ms. Baker for your certificate and pin.
Best Buddies will meet on Tuesday, March 14th from 3:30-4:30 pm in the Senior Cafe. If you are unable to attend, email Ms. Lueschen or Ms. Peterson.
March is Women’s History Month, and the IMC has some inspirational titles on display for you to check out! Celebrate the strong, smart, amazing women in your life and pick up one of these fantastic reads! While you're here, try answering the daily Women's History Month trivia!
Tryouts for Boys Tennis will be on March 6th-7th 3:45-5:15 pm. Meet at the tennis courts. Please bring a racket!
