ONE BOOK ONE SCHOOL FINALE
Monday, March 4th was the finale to our One Book One School initiative. During February everyone at Evans read the book Mountain Dog by Margarita Engle. Since one of the main characters in the book is a dog, Gabe, we celebrated finishing with a Puppy Bowl in collaboration with Pet Central Helps. The week leading up to the Puppy Bowl students participated in a Penny War during 8th period classes to see which class would get to watch the Puppy Bowl in the Gym. Thank to you all who participated and to Pet Central Helps.

MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS
The Pratt Music Foundation’s mission is to provide talented youth an opportunity to enhance their musical ability through private lessons. Music lessons are expensive and simply not an option for some children and families: this is where the Pratt Music Foundation comes in. The Foundation grants full music lesson scholarships to the Illinois Wesleyan University Music Preparatory Program. Instruction is available in piano or strings (violin, viola, cello). Check out this flyer for additional information.
