Welcome to Fourth Grade!
Hello! My name is Connie Stanczak and I have been fortunate enough to have been teaching fourth grade at Grove since 2004. I love my little Gators! Prior to teaching at Grove, I was a fifth grade teacher at Pepper Ridge. I am a native of Bloomington, attended a parochial elementary school, graduated in from University High School, and followed in my mother's footsteps by graduating from Illinois State University (ISNU for her). I graduated from ISU and became a graduate assistant in the Math Department there for a year until I was offered a third grade teaching job at Epiphany School. I taught there for four years until my first son was born. I stayed at home then, eventually having two more children, another son and a daughter. In 1998, after my children were all in school, I returned to teaching, thinking I would just occasionally sub. But I soon realized what I had been missing! So, here I am! My children are all out of school. Two live in Chicago, and one is in Denver. I am a new grandma now - finally! My husband and I live in Bloomington. He is an attorney, is on the Bloomington Planning Commission, and you may hear his forums on WJBC. I look forward to teaching your children.
