• ¿Quién soy yo?

Me llamo Sra. Horton. This is my 24th year in the district (23rd year teaching) and 13th year here at NCHS.  I received my Bachelor’s degree in Spanish education from Illinois State University in 1998 and earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Education) at ISU in 2010.  I have had the opportunity to travel to Spain and study in many areas of Mexico as well as visit Costa Rica.  I also enjoy Spanish-speaking areas in the United States. I love teaching Spanish and enjoy exposing students to cultures different from their own. Personally, I have traveled to Africa numerous times and enjoy learning Swahili and collaborating with the school teachers over there.

    Meta:

My goal is to help students reach their full potential within my classroom as well as teach them valuable life skills along the way.  I want to bring out the best in each student as a learner and as an individual.
