Mrs. Woods' Third Grade Classroom

I, Doriane M. Woods was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.  Academy of Our Lady is the high school that I graduated from in 1995.  I attended Illinois State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2000.  After graduation, I began my professional career in Unit 5 at Brigham Elementary School teaching second grade.  In the Fall of 2001, I began teaching third grade at Fairview Elementary School.  I enjoy teaching at Fairview Elementary.

I have two sons, Sheldon and Jaden.  My oldest, Sheldon, attends Chiddix Junior High School and Jaden attends Mrs. Vonnie's Home Day Care.  I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. which is an organization that is very active in the community.  Also, I am a member of the CARES team at Fairview and a Student Council sponsor.  Currently, I am working on my Masters in Reading at Illinois State University.
