Calendar Program for Unit 5 Schools

In part due to server upgrades, each school will now use a new calendar program. The Calendarix application uses a different programming language and database, improving performance ease of maintenance.

There are many new features include additional information fields such as event fees, email links, as well as a website link for each event. The admin interface is easier to use and allows better formatting to make integration into each site easier. It also features a mini calendar that can be placed anywhere in your site, providing a quick link to events. The full size calendar can be displayed in a new window (like the current calendar), or it can be included in an existing school webpage.

It still offers multiple user levels with approval permission. This lets others add events that do not display until approved by admin.

The calendars will all be in place by July 20, 2005. If you have any questions, please email me or cal 452-7836. I will contacting each of the webmasters for specific issues about each site.

Note: All other calendar use will stay the same. If you have an event, team, or class calendar, that will stay the same. This changeover only affects the primary school calendar.
