Birthday Books
This website allows families to purchase books for the school in honor of their child's birthday. We tried something in cooperation with Usborne Books last year, so this year we are searching again for the right way to run this program...so something different is happening again. When payment is recieved and it is the week of your child's birthday, they will choose from a selection of books (already purchased for this purpose) that are already barcoded into the system and ready for checking out. Your child's nameplate will be put in that day and they will be the first to check that particular book out.
Mrs. Edwards would like to do an assembly on the last Friday of the month to announce the birthday book participants. I will also be keeping a birthday book wall in the IMC to show the donated books for the school year. I know the students will be so proud of their donations.
In order for this to work, please fill out a birthday book order form along with a check made payable to Towanda Elementary for $10.00 and turn that into Mrs. Heaser. If your child has a summer birthday, please feel free to do their half birthday when ordering or we can present it in May. You can decide.
