Nourie requested $80-90 to purchase dvds for video
yearbooks which he will then distribute for free to
each family. Providing them free allows him to use
any music etc. regardless of copyright laws. Kathy
Zachria motioned to purchase, Linda Conder seconded.
3.
Braxton Carter, Mrs. Carter’s son, asked for
volunteers to help move boxes from school to the
truck on May 10, 17, 24, 31 from 7-11am. No kids.
There will coffee and donuts. Lunch will be provided
on the 31st.
New Business:
1.
Karen Showalter proposed that an end of year gift be
provided for teachers because of the extra work
packing the school for the renovations. Mrs.
Edwards suggested lunch be provided for teachers on
the last day of school. Jamie Jackson motioned,
Linda Conder seconded.
2.
Karen Showalter proposed free babysitting be
provided at the first PTO meeting next year on a
trial basis. After discussion, it was decided to
hire 2 middle school or high school sitters for $10
each per night. It was felt the money would provide
incentive for sitters to show up and do a good job.
There will be a sign-up prior to the meeting.
3. Karen Showalter proposed the back to
school picnic be moved up to the night before the
first ½ day of school to allow for the renovations
to be seen and for students to bring their
supplies. Mrs. Edwards liked the idea; but could
not commit without first
