Title I Family Program

The Title I Family Program encourages a connection between home and school.  It is important that families and schools work together to help students achieve high academic standards.

·        Special events are held throughout the school year to encourage families to become actively involved in their child’s reading.  At these special events childcare is often provided for younger siblings and dinner is often served.  A free book is given at most events to add to a family library.

·        Newsletters are distributed monthly.  The Title I newsletter gives parents ideas for reading and writing at home.  Fun activities are also included.

·        The Parent Advisory Committee allows parents to give input to the Title I Program.  If you would like to be a part of the Parent Advisory Committee, contact the Title I Parent Coordinator or your child's Title I Reading teacher.

·        Books, videos, and books on tape are available for check out through the
Title I Office.  See the Title I Staff page for contact information.
