PC Hardware Fundamentals

An introduction to the fundamentals, concepts, and techniques of building personal computers. Attention is given to cases, processors, motherboards, memory, hard drives, bios setting, operating system settings and other peripherals. Students will work in groups to assemble a PC from scratch, install an operating system and troubleshoot any problems. The PC’s will then be networked together peer-to-peer to accommodate file sharing and print sharing. Upon successful completion of this class, the student will be prepared for advanced CISCO training at the AVC or Heartland Community College.
