Digital Media Production

This semester or full year course examines how to communicate using digital media. Students will learn how to create digital media in the areas of web page design, computer animation, digital video editing, and graphic design. Within each area, students will learn how to create digital media content including text, digital images, videos, and sound. Throughout this course students will become proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Smart Edit video editing software, Movie Maker, Macromedia Flash, Dream Weaver, Adobe Premiere, and Corel Draw. Students will design and develop products such as mouse pads, t-shirts, coffee cups, commercials/short videos, web pages, and computer animations. This class will utilize the television studio for video creation and editing. The culmination of each semester is an on-line portfolio.
