  • REGISTRATION FOR K-5 STUDENTS AND EARLY LEARNING STUDENTS-will be held Monday, August 4th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.  Existing students may register online beginning July 1st.  All new students to the district or to Sugar Creek must come in on this date to get registered.

  • First day of school for Early Learning students will be Friday, August 22nd.  Open house for Early Learning students will be Thursday, August 21st from 9:00 to 11:00 am and 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

  • First day of classes for kindergarten thru 5th grade will be August 18th.  This is a full day of school.

  • BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT -  Friday, August 15th from 4:30 to 5:30 for grades K-5 only.

  • Beginning this fall with the 2014-2015 school year, Illinois law requires ALL students entering school at ALL grade levels (K-12) to show proof of receiving:
      - 2 (full) MMR vaccines and 1 varicella vaccine.  Pneumococcal vaccine series mandated for students entering Early Learning.  Children entering kindergarten, 6th or 9th grades must show proof of receiving 2 varicella (chicken pox) vaccines.   The Tdap requirement also continues requiring ALL students entering 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades to receive 1 Tdap vaccine.  Beginning with the 2015-2016 school year students entering 6th and 12th grades (only) will be required to receive 1 dose of meningococcal vaccine (6th grade) and 2 doses of meningococcal vaccine (12th grade).  UNIT 5 STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO START SCHOOL WITHOUT THE REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS!  The physical exam requirement is the same - a new exam dated within the past year is required for Early learner programs (first entry), Kindergarten, 6th grade and 9th grade.  Make an appointment NOW for a physical and immunizations!

  • VOLUNTEER SCREENINGS:  Please remember that any adult who wishes to volunteer at school in any capacity must complete a volunteer screening.  These need to be renewed each school year. To renew your screening, please click on the following link:  www.unit5.org/volunteer_renewal
