Mackinaw Valley Special Education Services
within Unit #5 School Buildings:
Special education disability categories:
Autism, Emotional/Behavioral Disordered, Cognitively
Impaired (EMD/TMD), Hearing Impaired, Learning Disabled,
Multiply Impaired, Orthopedically Impaired, Other Health
Impaired, Speech & Language, Traumatic Brain Injured,
Visually Impaired.
Resource Services: For
students with a mild to moderate degree of disability who
are in need of special services for less than 50% of their
day.
Instructional Services:
For students with a moderate to severe degree of disability
who are in need of special services for more than 50% of
their day.
Students identified as Autistic, Other
Health Impaired, and Traumatic Brain Injured may be served
in any building within the district under one of the other
disability categories.
