Policy and Procedures Development
A. Policy
1. The
foregoing procedures implement the policy, “Education of
Children with Disabilities.”
2. The policy will be adopted for MVSEA by the MVSEA
Governing Board and for the Member Districts by their
respective boards of education. In order to allow for public
input, the policy or its revision will not be adopted at the
board meeting at which it is first introduced.
B. Procedures
1. The foregoing procedures
will be initially adopted for MVSEA by the MVSEA Governing
Board and for the Member Districts by their respective
boards of education.
2. In order to allow for public input,
the procedures will not be adopted at the board meeting at
which it is first introduced.
3. The MVSEA Executive Director is authorized to revise
these procedures, as needed, provided the revisions comply
with state and federal law and the Executive Director
advises the MVSEA Governing Board and the Member District
boards of education of such revision in writing.
4. All special education policies and procedures are
public documents and are available at the MVSEA and Member
District administrative offices.
