Pronoun

A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun.

Examples:	The man laughed and then he cried.
	The dog growled and it bit the boy.
	He is smart.
She is our hard-working leader

Some pronouns show possession

Examples: The Math book was his book

I thank my lucky stars

All pronouns should have a noun that it stands for. This noun is called the antecedent of the pronoun.
